1. Select one of the web based strategies discussed in these articles or another you are familiar with and integrate it into one of your lessons. Report how the lesson went.

2. Search YouTube and post the video's address on our blog that you could use in an elementary classroom.

Try one of the assessment strategies in your classroom described in the readings and report how effective it was.

For March 29 (2) even though there is not a class!

1. Reflect how expectations come into play in classroom management, in your teaching personality, and your relationship to parents. If you have a student who you identify as having low expectations, do you think you can make a difference in your year with that student – why or why not?

2. Interview your teacher, another teacher in your building, or your principal about how to get parents involved with the class and school.

Post your ideas for an interdisciplinary, project-based unit you might teach and why your ideas meet the two criteria of interdisciplinary and project-based learning.

For March 8

Describe your cooperating teacher’s management strategies. Do you feel they are effective? Give examples of what your teacher does to recognize positive adherence and negative adherence. What do you plan to do differently in your own class?

For March 1

Post some of your questions about working with special education children in your classroom. You might include concerns about collaborating with educational specialists in your room.
